Overview

Use Contacts > Email Validation to check a cleaned prospect CSV before outreach. The page stays scoped to the selected client, previews unique valid addresses and excluded rows before validation credits are used, tracks the asynchronous job, shows credits saved across completed lists, and provides a merged result file with a verdict on every original row.

How to use this page

  1. Select the client and open Email Validation

Choose the client from the switcher, then open Platform > Contacts > Email Validation. Validation jobs, credit counts, and result files stay scoped to that client. If no client is selected, choose one before uploading.

  2. Upload and preview a cleaned CSV

Drop a CSV into the upload area or click Choose CSV. Files can be up to 15 MB and must contain a header row plus at least one data row. The page detects common email headers, or you can choose the email column manually. Review total rows, unique emails to validate, duplicates skipped, and blank or malformed rows skipped before using credits.

  3. Start validation

Click Validate N unique emails after reviewing the credit preview. Only unique, nonblank, correctly shaped email addresses are submitted. The page prevents duplicate charges when the exact file and email column were already submitted for the client within the recent reuse window. The summary band counts excluded rows from completed lists as Credits saved.

  4. Monitor the job and download results

Watch Validation history for progress, completion, or failure. A completed job shows Valid, Catch-all, Invalid, and Unknown totals. Click Download results to get the original rows with validation status, safe-to-send, and timestamp columns. Completed files also appear in the client Agents Files tab.

What the buttons do

Download results
Downloads the original CSV rows with validation status, safe-to-send, and validation timestamp columns.

Common questions

Upload a CSV no larger than 15 MB with a header row and at least one data row. One job accepts up to 10,000 unique valid email addresses. Export spreadsheet files as CSV first.
Only unique, nonblank, correctly shaped email addresses are submitted. Duplicate addresses, blank cells, and malformed addresses are excluded before the credit preview and submission.
Credits saved is the running total of duplicate, blank, and malformed rows excluded from completed validation lists before credits were used. The upload preview shows the same exclusions for the file you are reviewing.
Duplicate addresses use one validation result. The downloaded result keeps every original row and adds the same status and safe-to-send result for that address.
Every original row receives a validation status, safe-to-send flag, and validation timestamp. Valid, catch-all, invalid, unknown, missing, and invalid-format values can appear depending on the row and result.
Download the result from Validation history. The completed CSV is also delivered to the selected client's Agents Files tab.
The same file, email column, and client were submitted recently. The page reuses the existing job instead of charging validation credits again.
